We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our client’s manufacturing team in Milford, CT. 1 st shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm plus overtime Pay rate $20-27/ hour The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet required quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves conducting routine inspections, documenting results, identifying nonconformances, and communicating quality issues to the Quality Supervisor and production teams. The Quality Inspector plays a key role in maintaining product quality and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established quality standards and specifications. Use measuring tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product dimensions and compliance with requirements. Document inspection results, including identifying and recording nonconformances and defects. Ensure all materials and products meet quality requirements before proceeding to the next stage of production or shipment. Assist with the maintenance and calibration of inspection equipment to ensure accurate measurements. Report quality issues or discrepancies to the Quality Supervisor and collaborate with production teams to resolve concerns. Support the implementation of corrective actions for identified quality issues. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities. Conduct audits and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities. Maintain accurate inspection records, test results, certifications, and nonconformance reports. Assist in training new Quality Inspectors and cross-train on different inspection processes as needed. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Demonstrate professionalism, strong work ethic, reliability, and adherence to company values. Review First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation. Review customer specifications and requirements for aerospace companies Respond to customer quality-related emails and inquiries. Receive, review, and maintain incoming certifications. Collect, track, and organize samples while updating receiving logs daily to ensure effective control and traceability. Update final inspection logs regularly, allowing manufacturing and management teams to monitor inspection status, completion dates, approved quantities, and rejected quantities. Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in quality inspection, quality control, or a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with quality control processes, inspection techniques, and measurement tools. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects and nonconformances. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Basic computer skills and familiarity with quality documentation systems. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. #IND2
