Material Handler

Pay: From $16.00/hour - $17/00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

About the Role:
A growing production company in Wilmington is seeking a skilled Material Handler to support production objectives by performing manual labor in the warehouse. This role involves operating forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other power equipment, as well as handling inventory, shipping, and receiving tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders to ensure accuracy

• Count and inspect items for shortages, damage, or defects; document issues with photos and paperwork

• Plan and execute transfers of products to the shipping dock; load and unload trucks

• Perform inventory transfers and audits using SAP or other manufacturing software

• Stock materials safely in designated staging and storage areas; assist with cycle counts

• Support 6S initiatives and maintain an organized warehouse environment

• Operate overhead crane, reach forklift, stand-up counterbalance forklift, and electric pallet truck

• Receive and process goods, including small packages, trucks, and containers in SAP

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 months of similar or related experience

• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, percentages, and units of measure

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals

• Ability to operate overhead crane and other warehouse equipment safely

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Good communication skills and professional, respectful attitude
