Road Service Technician
Location: Horseheads, NY
Pay: $22-27
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with additional hours and after-hours work as needed
We are seeking a Commercial Service Technician to perform tire maintenance, repair, and replacement on commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position with work performed both in a shop and at roadside service locations.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect commercial tires for wear, damage, and improper inflation
- Remove, mount, and install tires using tire changers, balancers, and hand tools
- Repair tubeless and tube-type tires, including patching punctures
- Respond to roadside service calls for emergency tire repairs and replacements
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use PPE
- Work in a variety of environments, including shops, trucking facilities, farms, construction sites, and roadside locations
- Be available for occasional weekends and emergency calls
Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor work
- Exposure to loud noise, heavy equipment, and potentially hazardous materials
- Frequent physical and hands-on work
Qualifications:
- Previous commercial tire or mechanical experience preferred
- Ability to work safely with heavy equipment and hand tools
- Willingness to work flexible hours when needed
- TIA Commercial Tire Service Certification is a plus
