Manufacturing Supervisor

Employment Solutions is currently searching a Manufacturing Supervisor Bilingual (English/Spanish) for the Opa-Locka area.

This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and has the authority and responsibility for the overall management, direction and coordination of production activities . The ideal candidate will thrive on working with a team in a schedule driven, fast-paced production environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing floor. Coordinate, plan, and supervise activities.
  • Ensure the efficient production of products with emphasis on good quality. ?
  • Ensure quality of work performed through routine quality checks.
  • Responsible for managing assigned personnel, and issues written and oral instructions. Monitors departmental and individual performance and provides appropriate feedback, encouragement, and discipline when necessary.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to new and existing manufacturing associates.
  • Ensure all assigned personnel observe and understand all company policies and procedures. Including established systems compliance, safety practices and procedures
  • Perform production associate activities/work as needed.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Associate degree from two-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Highly organized with good time management skills
  • Able to speak, read and write English and Spanish (a must).
  • Computer literacy including the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • ISO and GMP experience are highly desired.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing are highly desired.

Salary - $70 to $80K Annually depending on experience. Schedule – Able to work a weekly rotating shift: 1st Shift (5:30 AM – 2:10 PM) & 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:40 PM).
