We are looking for dependable, safety-minded individuals to join our client's manufacturing team in Cumming, GA. This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing experience who are comfortable working rotating 12-hour shifts and in a fast-paced production environment.
Pay: $22.00/hour
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour Pitman schedule – days and nights
Every other weekend off
Location: Cumming, GA 30040
Duration: 6+ months with potential extensions and possible permanent hire based on performance and business needs
Work Setting: 100% On-Site
JOB SUMMARY
The Machine Operator will operate manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality commercial and residential roofing products. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
This position involves operating large injection molding equipment, inspecting products for quality, handling materials, maintaining production records, and supporting the production team during start-ups, product changes, downtime, and equipment issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely operate manufacturing equipment while following all safety procedures.
- Operate one or more 1,500-ton injection molding machines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve downstream automation faults when possible.
- Safely load and unload materials using an electric pallet jack.
- Inspect finished parts according to quality standards and procedures.
- Maintain accurate production and operational records.
- Participate in production start-ups, product changes, downtime activities, training, and cleanup.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all required safety and health procedures.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work rotating 12-hour shifts, including days and nights.
- Work overtime and some weekends as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of manufacturing experience or military experience.
- Ability to read and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to use good judgment and common sense when addressing production issues.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work a rotating schedule.
Preferred:
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Maintenance-related experience.
- Injection molding experience.
- Experience operating production machinery.
- Experience using electric pallet jacks or other material-handling equipment.
