We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs within a manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations while partnering with plant leadership to promote a safe and productive workplace.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with machine guarding, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and confined space programs, along with a strong understanding of workplace safety systems and regulatory compliance.

Occasional flexibility may be required based on business needs
Support and maintain site Environmental, Health & Safety programs and initiatives
Conduct safety audits, inspections, and workplace assessments
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; identify root causes and corrective actions
Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards
Maintain EHS documentation, records, and reporting requirements
Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to address safety concerns and drive continuous improvement
Track and analyze safety metrics and recommend proactive solutions
Assist with employee safety training, onboarding, and ongoing compliance initiatives
Support workers' compensation case management and return-to-work efforts
Coordinate with outside vendors, consultants, and subject matter experts as needed
Participate in sustainability and environmental improvement initiatives
Support capital projects to ensure safety and environmental requirements are incorporated into project planning
Promote a positive safety culture throughout the facility
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
3-5+ years of Environmental Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
Hands-on experience with:
Machine Guarding
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Confined Space programs
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety programs, PPE requirements, incident investigation procedures, and environmental compliance standards
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
Master's degree in a related field
Experience with EHS management systems and compliance software
Experience leading safety initiatives in a manufacturing environment
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)
Manufacturing and warehouse setting
Frequent exposure to production environments
Must be able to wear required PPE, including:
Safety shoes
Safety glasses
Hearing protection (in designated areas)
Long pants and appropriate work attire
Safety shoe reimbursement available
Exposure to machinery and industrial equipment
Occasional travel may be required
