Material Handlers – Burgaw Area

A Production Company in the Burgaw area is looking to hire Material Handlers to work in the Shipping Department. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently fulfilling customer orders, moving pallets to the order staging area, and loading them onto trucks for shipment.

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. (Friday OT as needed)

• Note: New hires start on 1st Shift (6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.) for 2–3 weeks of training at $20/hr, then move to 2nd shift at $20.50/hr

Compensation:

• $20/hr during training

• $20.50/hr once fully trained on 2nd shift

• Overtime as required

Responsibilities:

• Operate a walkie rider pallet jack to pull orders and transport pallets of product

• Load and unload pallets to and from trucks

• Use handheld computers and other technology to track load progress

• Work independently or as part of a team to meet goals

• Be a motivated, adaptable team member willing to learn new techniques and processes

• Flexibility to work in different areas as business needs require

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Minimum of 6 months forklift experience

• Ability to read orders and record information accurately

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
