National Sales Manager
An established manufacturing company is seeking a National Sales Manager to oversee and support its inside and outside sales operations across multiple territories. The ideal candidate is outgoing, relationship-driven, and enjoys working with both customers and sales teams. Experience in manufacturing sales and dealer/distributor networks is highly preferred.
Pay: Starting in the low $60,000s annually, plus commission
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (hours may vary when traveling)
Responsibilities:
- Manage and support a team of regional sales representatives across multiple territories.
- Forward sales leads to regional representatives and ensure timely follow-up.
- Review sales activity and call reports to monitor performance.
- Work alongside regional representatives to expand dealer networks and develop new business opportunities.
- Monitor monthly sales performance by territory and provide reporting and analysis to company leadership.
- Develop and implement sales strategies in collaboration with executive management.
- Analyze incoming sales orders against sales goals and budgets.
- Serve as a resource for inside sales and field representatives by assisting with quotations, dealer concerns, and product-related questions.
- Process dealer orders and coordinate with production to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Handle retail customer inquiries and direct customers to the appropriate dealer or sales representative.
- Prepare reports, charts, and sales summaries for annual sales meetings.
- Attend regional trade shows and industry events as a company representative.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by executive leadership.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Business, a technical field, or a related discipline preferred.
- Equivalent experience will be considered.
- 10+ years of manufacturing and sales experience preferred.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment and supporting dealer/distributor networks.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and develop strategic sales initiatives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business software is preferred.
Travel:
- Approximately 10–15% travel.
- Travel includes customer visits, accompanying regional sales representatives, attending dealer meetings, and participating in trade shows throughout the year.
