Kitting Coordinator / Production Line Material Handler

Location: Northchase, NC
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Employment Solutions is hiring an experienced Kitting Coordinator to support a fast-paced manufacturing operation in Northchase, NC. This position is responsible for preparing and delivering accurate production kits, monitoring material availability, and keeping the assembly line supplied and running efficiently.

This is a hands-on role for someone with strong manufacturing or materials experience who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating workflow across production and warehouse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, verify, organize, and assemble production kits using bills of materials, work orders, and kit sheets
  • Deliver complete kits to the assembly line according to the production schedule
  • Ensure materials are accurate, properly labeled, and arranged in the correct sequence
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish line-side materials as needed
  • Identify and communicate shortages, discrepancies, damaged parts, or incorrect materials
  • Respond quickly to material-related production issues to help prevent line stoppages
  • Maintain accurate material tracking and support cycle counts
  • Follow FIFO, Kanban, pull-system, and other Lean manufacturing practices
  • Assist with training team members on kitting procedures and standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S standards
  • Communicate with production supervisors, line leads, and warehouse personnel

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, materials, inventory, or kitting
  • Ability to read bills of materials, work orders, and kit sheets
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Comfortable working independently and making decisions under pressure
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, FIFO, Kanban, or continuous improvement is preferred
  • Experience in a high-volume production environment is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and material handling
  • Ability to lift and move production materials
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
