Machine Operator- Bridge Mill
Bridge Mill / VTL - Machine Operator
Pay: $18-24
Overview:
We are hiring an experienced Bridge Mill/VTL Machine Operator to operate large-scale CNC equipment used for machining heavy and complex components. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in large-part machining and precision manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate bridge mills (gantry mills) and vertical turning lathes (VTLs)

Load and position large materials using cranes or forklifts

Install tooling, set offsets, and prepare machines for operation

Run CNC programs and monitor machining performance
- Adjust speeds, feeds, and offsets as needed
- Read/Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T requirements

Perform first-piece and in-process inspections

Use precision measuring instruments for large components

Change tooling and assist with program adjustments

Follow all safety procedures and maintain equipment
Qualifications:
-
Experience operating large CNC machines (Bridge Mill or VTL preferred)

Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge

Familiarity with G-code and CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, etc.)

Understanding of machining processes and materials

Crane/rigging experience preferred

Strong attention to detail and safety
Preferred Certifications:

NIMS or machining certifications
- OSHA 10/30
- ???????CNC operation or programming certificate

Forklift or overhead crane certification
