CNC Machine Operator

Pay: $16
Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 5am-3:30pm

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join a manufacturing team. This position involves operating and setting up CNC machinery to produce metal components according to blueprints, job orders, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has machining experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • • Set up and operate CNC machinery to manufacture metal parts according to specifications.
  • • Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and technical instructions.
  • • Inspect initial production pieces to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • • Measure and verify parts using precision instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and comparators.
  • • Monitor production processes and collect statistical process control (SPC) data as required.
  • • Select and prepare raw materials for production.
  • • Maintain accurate production counts and complete required documentation.
  • • Use hand tools to finish parts and ensure they meet specifications.
  • • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
  • • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • • High school diploma, GED, or vocational training in precision machining or a related field.
  • • At least one year of CNC machining or equivalent machining trade experience preferred.
  • • CNC certification is a plus.
  • • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • • Understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
  • • Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and comparators.
  • • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
  • • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • • Good problem-solving, analytical, and time-management skills.
  • • Ability to follow written instructions and established safety procedures.
  • • Willingness to learn new processes and expand technical skills.
