Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Employment Solutions is hiring for our client for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team in Rochester, NY.

Location: Rochester, NY
Shift: 3rd shift, Sun-Thurs 11:00pm-7:30am
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $24-$28/hr

About the Opportunity

Our client specializes in compounding engineering thermoplastic materials used in injection molding and profile extrusion applications across medical, automotive, consumer, and industrial markets. This is a hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to make a direct impact on safety, quality, productivity, and overall production performance.

Production Supervisor Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, supervise, and coordinate production employees
• Ensure safety, quality, productivity, and customer service goals are met
• Safely operate and oversee extrusion lines, including single-screw and twin-screw equipment
• Monitor and adjust production processes to meet customer specifications
• Work with extrusion line equipment and subsystems including pumps, blowers, pelletizers, and temperature controllers
• Monitor equipment and production processes and address issues as they arise
• Handle multiple priorities and remain calm in a fast-paced production environment
• Coordinate and audit production activities
• Act as a liaison between plant leadership and production operators
• Support and enforce company and plant policies
• Complete reports and other required documentation

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Extrusion experience preferred
• Twin-screw extruder experience is a plus
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to write reports and communicate effectively
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and algebra
• Comfortable working with hand tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
