Janitorial Supervisor
Employment Solutions is hiring a Janitorial Supervisor to oversee commercial cleaning operations throughout the Southern Tier Region. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and experience leading teams across multiple job sites. Previous supervisory experience is preferred, but not required.
Pay: $19.11–$21.22 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 12:00 PM–8:00 PM
Flexibility: Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and job-site needs
Location: Southern Tier Region
Responsibilities may include:
- Supervising and coordinating custodial crews across multiple commercial job sites
- Providing direction, support, and training to cleaning staff
- Monitoring cleaning quality and ensuring client expectations are met
- Performing and/or overseeing floor care and hard-surface maintenance
- Managing supplies, equipment, and site-specific cleaning requirements
- Addressing staffing, scheduling, and operational challenges through creative problem solving
- Communicating with employees, clients, and management regarding site needs
- Ensuring safety procedures and company standards are followed
- Modeling strong attendance, reliability, and professional work habits
- Traveling between job sites as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred, but not required
- Floor care and hard-surface technical experience strongly preferred
- Experience supervising a distributed or multi-site crew is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Must demonstrate reliability and attendance discipline
- Must be comfortable working independently and managing multiple locations
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid vehicle available for travel
- Must have a working cell phone for communication
- OSHA 10 preferred, but not required
- Must be flexible with schedule and job-site assignments
