Pay:  $16.00/per hour 
Schedule: 5:00am to 3:30pm   Mon-Thurs; overtime as needed

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Induction Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate induction heat-treating equipment to produce high-quality metal components while maintaining safety, accuracy, and production standards. Candidates with heat-treating or manufacturing experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all work in accordance with plant safety rules.

  • Read work order to determine size and grade of work piece to be processed.

  • Determine frequency of current, time cycle and induction hardening coil to be used for each job, using knowledge of induction machines, heat-treating methods and property of metals.

  • Position and fasten induction coil and fixture on machine.

  • Adjust controls to set frequency of current and automatic timer.

  • Position and fasten part in fixture and start machine to heat treat sample part.

  • Adjust frequency of current, automatic timer and fixture on machine until sample meets specifications.

  • May set up induction machines.

  • Maintain daily production records. 

  • Responsible for cleanliness and housekeeping of work area.

  • Inspect and verify that finished product is in conformance with specification on blueprint and is properly identified.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating induction heat-treating equipment or similar manufacturing machinery preferred.

  • Ability to read work orders and follow specifications.

  • Experience using inspection tools such as calipers and hardness testing equipment is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
