Maintenance Mechanic

Location: South Windsor, CT
Pay: $28–$35/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: 1st Shift | Exact hours TBD
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Overtime: As required; Saturdays as needed

Employment Solutions is currently hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for our aerospace client in South Windsor, CT. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career, learn new skills, and grow within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing, machinery repair, and general facility maintenance. We are looking for someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, proactive, and comfortable troubleshooting problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Perform routine machine maintenance, including changing machine oils
• Assist with plumbing repairs and general facility maintenance
• Perform HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical information
• Respond to emergency maintenance needs
• Assist with vacuum chamber maintenance; experience is preferred but not required
• Cross-train in other departments and functions as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Work overtime and Saturdays as needed

Requirements

• 2–5 years of maintenance and/or facilities experience
• High school diploma, technical school diploma, or equivalent experience
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, machinery repair, and general maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train
