Route Delivery Driver – Dallas-Fort Worth Area
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX – Home-Based Route
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
A staffing company is seeking an experienced and dependable Route Delivery Driver to service customers throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
This is a unique home-based driving opportunity. The company delivery truck stays with the driver overnight, allowing you to begin and end your workday from home instead of reporting to a warehouse each morning. Drivers meet at a designated location to receive their loads before completing a multi-stop delivery route throughout the DFW area.
Routes are planned with the goal of placing the final delivery near the driver’s home whenever possible. Candidates must have a safe and secure location at their residence to park the company vehicle overnight.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company delivery vehicle throughout an assigned DFW route
- Complete multi-stop customer deliveries accurately and on schedule
- Load, secure, transport, and unload products safely
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain delivery manifests, COD records, and other required documentation
- Follow all DOT, Hazmat, OSHA, and company safety requirements
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide excellent service
- Handle routine delivery and route issues while working independently
- Maintain dependable attendance and consistent communication
- Lift and move products weighing up to 75 pounds
Qualifications
- Previous delivery driving or multi-stop route experience required
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- CDL preferred but not required
- Hazmat experience or certification is a plus but not required
- Willing and able to complete required Hazmat and safety certifications
- Comfortable working independently and managing a daily route
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to safely perform the physical requirements of a delivery position
- Must have a safe and secure location at home to park the company truck overnight
Training and Onboarding
Selected drivers will complete approximately three days of paid training in Houston at $24.00 per hour.
- Training is conducted Monday through Friday
- Lunch will be provided during training
- Required DOT medical examinations will be arranged and paid for by the company
- Assistance will be provided with required Hazmat training or certification
- Candidates must provide two acceptable forms of identification during onboarding
- Travel arrangements for training will be discussed during the hiring process
