We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead manufacturing and operational functions within a growing custom manufacturing organization. This role oversees Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Planning, Maintenance, Logistics, and Human Resources, with a focus on driving productivity, accountability, and on-time delivery.
Reporting to executive leadership, the VP of Operations will lead cross-functional teams, improve operational performance, and ensure scalable processes in a fast-paced, ERP-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead manufacturing and operational functions within a growing custom manufacturing organization. This role oversees Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Planning, Maintenance, Logistics, and Human Resources, with a focus on driving productivity, accountability, and on-time delivery.
Reporting to executive leadership, the VP of Operations will lead cross-functional teams, improve operational performance, and ensure scalable processes in a fast-paced, ERP-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations across Engineering, Manufacturing, Scheduling, Maintenance, Logistics, and HR.
- Drive on-time delivery, productivity improvements, and equipment uptime.
- Establish performance expectations and hold leaders accountable for results.
- Develop supervisors and build organizational strength.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, downtime, and inefficiencies.
- Oversee ERP-driven production planning, scheduling, and operational processes.
- Manage engineering, maintenance, and operational projects to successful completion.
- 10+ years of manufacturing operations leadership experience.
- Experience in high-mix, low-volume, make-to-order, or configure-to-order manufacturing environments.
- Experience within machining, metal fabrication, steel, or industrial manufacturing operations.
- Strong background with ERP systems, production planning, and scheduling.
- Proven success improving productivity, OEE, on-time delivery, and operational performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
