Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable CNC Plasma Table Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating CNC plasma cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal components while maintaining production schedules, quality standards, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting equipment.

  • Load and unload steel plate, sheet metal, and structural materials using forklifts, cranes, or other approved lifting equipment.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and cut files.

  • Verify material type, dimensions, and thickness before processing.

  • Load machine programs and ensure proper machine setup.

  • Monitor cutting operations to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy.

  • Inspect completed parts using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.

  • Clean finished parts and prepare components for fabrication or welding.

  • Identify and report quality concerns or production issues.

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and replace machine consumables as needed.

  • Maintain production records and assist other fabrication departments when necessary.

  • Follow OSHA regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Previous manufacturing or metal fabrication experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.

  • Basic computer skills for machine operation and production reporting.

  • Experience using precision measuring tools.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
