Entry-Level Security Installation & Service Technician
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: Competitive pay based on experience
Are you looking to start a career in the security and low-voltage industry? We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Security Installation & Service Technician to join a growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new skills, and working with modern security technology.
Responsibilities

Assist with the installation and servicing of security alarm, fire alarm, CCTV, and access control systems.

Run and terminate low-voltage wiring (Cat5/Cat6, coaxial, and related cabling).

Help install and test cameras, control panels, sensors, and other security equipment.

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.

Troubleshoot basic system issues under the guidance of experienced technicians.

Read blueprints and wiring diagrams as training progresses.

Complete service reports and installation documentation.

Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.

Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED required.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to pass a background check.

Comfortable using hand and power tools.

Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Reliable, dependable, and able to work well in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Working knowledge of fire alarm codes (NFPA 72), electrical codes (NEC), and ADA regulations;

Familiarity with major brands (Honeywell, Bosch, DSC, Silent Knight, Notifier, Lenel, HID, etc.);

Strong troubleshooting and communication skills; and

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
Physical Requirements

Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment
- Ability to work at heights and confined spaces during equipment installation
