Pay: $19-25
Schedule: M-F, 8am-4:30pm


Are you an experienced low-voltage technician looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing team? We are seeking a skilled Security Installation & Service Technician to install, service, and maintain a variety of commercial and residential security systems. If you have experience with fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and low-voltage wiring, we'd love to hear from you.


Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, test, and service security and life safety systems.

  • Install and troubleshoot CCTV/IP camera systems, intrusion alarms, fire alarm systems, and electronic access control systems.

  • Run, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling (Cat5/Cat6, coaxial, and related wiring).

  • Program control panels and connected devices.

  • Diagnose and repair system issues while performing preventive maintenance.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

  • Complete installation records, service reports, and other required documentation.

  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and inspectors.

  • Respond to scheduled service calls and occasional emergency service requests.

  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable electrical and fire codes.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED and three (3) years in the installation of fire and/or security systems; or

  • Certification in Fire Alarm and Detection Equipment and two years in a related field; or

  • An equivalent combination of training and experience with installation of security and/or fire alarm systems;

  • State/local certifications as required (e.g., NICET, manufacturer-specific certifications).

  • Ability to use hand and power tools to install hardware;

  • Verifiable experience in the installation and programming of alarm, fire, CCTV, and IP related systems;

  • IP Camera System installation/programming experience;

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and persuasively;

  • Working knowledge of fire alarm codes (NFPA 72), electrical codes (NEC), and ADA regulations;

  • Familiarity with major brands (Honeywell, Bosch, DSC, Silent Knight, Notifier, Lenel, HID, etc.);

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment

  • Ability to work at heights and confined spaces during equipment installation
