Employment Solutions is hiring a Production Scheduler for our client's direct mail manufacturing facility in Forest, VA.
In this role, you will coordinate daily and weekly production schedules, helping ensure projects are completed efficiently and delivered on time. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while working closely with multiple departments to keep operations running smoothly.
Location: Forest, VA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Onsite)
Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer deadlines and operational goals.
- Coordinate the availability of materials, equipment, and labor resources to support production requirements.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to maintain efficiency and meet delivery commitments.
- Communicate production priorities and schedule updates with operations, customer service, sales, and other departments.
- Analyze production data and generate reports to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
- Track production output and communicate attainment metrics to leadership and production teams.
- Assist with planning and coordinating customer deliveries to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Utilize scheduling, manufacturing, and ERP software to manage workflow and production activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Previous scheduling, production planning, manufacturing coordination, direct mail, printing, or related industry experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience working with ERP systems or production scheduling software preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, printing, bindery, mailing, or fulfillment operations is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
